excellent grinder at a bargain....
I have several hand grinder, and some are more expensive than this one. This one is a serious contender, at much lower price and as good, or better, at grinding. The burr alignment is excellent, where I can grind turkish with the burr barely touching. At espresso range there is no burr touch whatsoever, and the grinding is smooth compared to other grinder I have that has similar burr size (I am reluctant to mention the other one name, because it is also an excellent grinder). Although the burr adjustment is stepped, the steps are very small--there are 12 steps per rotation. The quality of the build is first class, except for the grinding chamber cover that comes integrated in the grinding handle. It is cheap plastic; but even if so, this is really of no importance, and the grinder would work even without it. I only mention it so interested buyers knows about the small details. Very recommended!

Excellent Hand Grind with highly consistent grind and much less effort than cheaper models
After using multiple styles of hand grinders for coffee, the 1Zpresso lineup has proven to be the best choice for quality, consistency and ease of use compared to all other manual grinders on the market. The price is higher than the average manual grinder, but you get what you pay for and after using a 1Zpresso grinder you won't go back to any other manual grinding system... willingly.

Very sexy grinder, but crappy brush
So far I have no complaints except that I wish the brush it came with was at least AS WELL MADE AS THE GRINDER. The grinder is awesome; its heavy! Feels really good in the hand. For those who get it, since you can't wash it please grind at least a double shot worth of beans first, AFTER DIALING IN YOUR GRIND LEVEL, BEFORE USING THE GRINDER. You will get an off taste if you don't. Once grinding for a few times I was good. The bigger burr means I can grind beans faster but i was surprised how fast. For my espresso machine it takes under 30 seconds to grind enough beans for a double shot. My old cheap grinder took nearly 2 minutes. I haven't tried making turkish coffee yet but it have tried grind at that level and it does a decent job although at some point I have to put the grinder between my thighs.I'm not certain about other espresso machines but for mine I needed to dial the grinder to 1.5 complete turns from the tight position instead of the 1.0 that the instructions recommended. But I very much like the fact i could dial in exactly that grind i wanted. The brush is complete crap like the other reviewers mentioned. The black brush end is very loose bit I usually find myself using the 'horse tail' looking end to clean anyway. But I don't grind my beans with the brush so I took off only one starUPDATE: the company was very diligent and contacted me to send me a new brush after making my review. The new one hasn't fallen apart yet but I still think it's design can be improved. And still very much loving my grinder.

Great match to an Aeropress
The JX grinder is well manufactured. I like a very fine grind and this grinder has no problem making espresso/Turkish consistent grind. The diameter of the grinder is a nearly perfect fit with an aeropress - I hold the grinder just inside the top of the aeropress and crank.

Rock solid hand grinder
High quality solid grinder. I am still dialing in grind size. I like the large burr that makes grinding fast even for fine grinds. Easy to clean.

Great Little Grinder but Not for Espresso
The burs on the grinder I received are imperceptibly out of round. The error is so small to be negligible. On the lowest setting it will grind a super fine Turkish. Espresso is easy. Have not tried pour-over yet, but there's so much range in the adjustment that I'm sure it will be find. Other than Turkish, which takes quite a few turns, it's a very fast grinder. This is much better than my Zassenhaus Havana, which costs a bit more.Update: down to 2-star. Sadly, the click stops for this grinder are too coarse to properly dial in for espresso, even though this is advertised as an espresso grinder. Sadly...too late to return.
