It doesn't look like much, but it is the best peeler I have ever used. Highly recommend.

I was surprised that the peeler was so small and so light weight. So far, it has worked well and seems to be very sharp.

This was the top rated peeler on the America's Top Kitchen show. I couldn't find it in this size so I bought the Oxo Good grips peeler thinking it was a new model and they had corrected the too narrow blade spacing that caused ATK to give it a poor rating.I was wrong and very unhappy with the Oxo but then Amazon popped up with a link to the top rated Kuhn Rikon 4" peeler.After a few weeks of daily use I can attest to all the glowing praise this little item received.It cuts just the right amount, not too deep and not just skimming. It doesn't clog on carrot peels like the Oxo did. It's easy to clean, just a quick rinse is usually all that's needed. It's well built and I expect it to last a long time.

Original review: This peeler works extraordinarily well, a definite upgrade from my long-term OXO peeler, even though this Kuhn Rikon one looks so much cheaper. I wish it weren't made of plastic, but I can't complain about its effectiveness after a couple of uses.Update a few days later: The blade rusted while sitting upright in the utensils cup of my drainboard overnight. That was very disappointing and unexpected. I contacted the seller here on Amazon about the defect. I was offered a free replacement. However, as soon as I mailed the defective peeler back, the seller cancelled the replacement and did not respond to my messages requesting that it honor the offer of a replacement. For that reason, I cannot recommend buying this product from this seller.

After the first wash the blade is rusty

Hard to hold. Lightweight but nothing special.

This is the best peeler out there. This is my second one. My first one lasted many years. Highly recommend this product.

My husband read about this peeler in the New York Times. It is amazing. Inexpensive compared to the other ones we have tried and even if it gets dull quickly, we can just replace it for that price. Our grandchildren can use it very effectively. I am delighted.. Thank you to whoever reviewed it for the Times. Fast and light and easy to hold.
