Very good choice for toddlers and kids. Even good for clumsy grown ups like me.
Let's get the cons out of the way because they are not necessarily deal breakers. Yes, it's a little challenging at first to get the charging cable in but if you stand it vertically and look straight down, you can get it easily. Hard to get the iPad in and out of case: Yes, but isn't that part of the reason we're buying this? The only real criticism I have is the stand. Works beautifully, multi position, but I can see the baby making short work of it as a flipping stand is a tempting thing. Might be too easily broken, as compared to the handle type stands if you're giving it to an inquisitive toddler. But the part looks easily replaceable and clicks into case back when not in use. Stand is only usable in landscape mode. Not a deal breaker. The last thing I wish it had is total screen protection, but none of them have that. What's good: Soft, chewable, teetheable, food grade, no odor. Very Light weight. Bounces. All holes in perfect alignment and recessed so little sucky mouths don't get access. Sure it's a teency bit harder to get fat fingers inside grooves if you have them, but function is preserved pretty well while protecting openings at the same time. Comfortable to hold. I actually don't mind using it, myself. Speakers easily heard. Camera accessible. Earbud accessible. Fun colors.

Great for toddlers **Edited with Update 10/21/15
Purchased this for my 3 year old's ipad. We've had it almost a year now and it has been dropped, drug, thrown, bounced and the ipad has never been scratched. I love that it has a stand and can be held with both hands or carried with the top handle. Highly recommend. Made of a very thick, sturdy, rubber like foam. The ipad fits in there very securly with no room to move. I highly recommend this for toddlers!**Update 10/21/15 - We have used this product so much and it has worked so well for us that I will be purchasing a second one in pink as now that my daughter is 4 she has decided her favorite color is now pink instead of blue. We will still use the blue one for another ipad mini that my mother bought her to when she's visiting her house. I highly recommend this product.*I paid full price for this product and the views expressed in this review are mine and that of my family.

Just get it.
It's basically perfect. My 3 y/o loves this case. The volume buttons are actually a little easier for him to find and adjust. He easily opens the stand and pops it back in. The extreme cushioning of the case absorbs a LOT of shock when he drops the iPad. And the handles give him somewhere to hold the iPad comfortably without getting his little fingertips on the corner of the screen, messing him up while he plays his games. The handles and case in general aren't quite as bulky as some of the kid's iPad cases, so it still fits in his little backpack no problem. It is a little tricky to reach the power button and to plug in the charger, but it isn't a deal breaker. It was also a little difficult to squeeze the iPad in. But if you want to change the case often, it isn't impossible. I've had cases on my phone that were more difficult to remove, this one at least didn't make me feel like I was going to break anything.

LOVE this! My 2 year old can hold it ...
LOVE this! My 2 year old can hold it perfectly, it does a great job of protecting the iPad (it has been thrown a few times!) I highly recommend this for your child if you plan on letting them use your iPad. It does not cover the screen but we haven't had any issues, I like being able to wipe the screen anyways. The stand is great and works well. We've had it for several months now and it is used every day as a wind down at nap time. Would definitely purchase again if we needed to but I certainly don't see us needing a new one anytime soon, unless we get a new device! It still looks brand new! As others have said It IS hard to put on and take off and can be difficult to get the charger in and out, but neither of those things have made me think any less of the quality.

Does an okay job
I got this for my mother who has PSP - she is a very petite woman so she is able to grip the handles but really, the size is for kids. After a few months, the bookstand mechanism lost rigidity and no longer "locks" in place so it doesn't work. Getting the charge cord in is a bit of a hassle - after a few months of use, the handle is not as stiff so it's easier to bend it slightly to get the charge cord in. warning: it is really hard to get the ipad in. i gave up after about 10 minutes and handed it over to someone else- with a lot of struggle and a plastic take out knife - they were able to do it. so after a few months... was it worth it? it's okay. it does it's job of protecting the ipad. the handles are useful. disappointed the bookstand function broke after a few months of light use.

Not just a kids case
Yes, this plastic case will most likely extend the useful life of that iPad mini. Bright blue shines in the dark; fit is so tight I don't know if the mini will ever escape; handles enough for an octopus to be satisfied. BUT I'm not a kid but a seasoned camera operator and I wondered how much more quality could be obtained from this Apple device if given a chance. So now I know . . . This product allows a two-handed secure and controlled movement of the built-in camera which approaches that yearned-for steadycam setup. One handed operation provides safe extreme framing, both in the vertical and the horizontal. The plastic frame is camera friendly, only wayward fingers ever obscuring the lens. Plus when I'm lying on my back, reading the screen, the frame can be turned upside down thus placing the middle handle on my chest and immediately improving my perspective. A solid alternative use to that advertised and fully endorsed by me.
