Much better than expected
These books are great. Dan Abnett is a gifted author and spins captivating tales in a style that is at once eloquent and accessible.

Required reading for the true fan
This story is one of the best Warhammer 40k stories out there. My first time through I had to wait to read the sequels, but now I'm able to continue one story to the next and this epic tale has a lot of story left. I hope you take the time to enjoy these books, you won't regret it.

Good sequel to Xenos
Fast-paced and a fun read. The end failed for me as it seemed rushed closed much too quickly compared to the pace of the rest of the book. Probably needed a chapter or two more to keep the same rhythm.

Excellent series
One of the best written series in the entire black library. Would absolutely recommend to any warhammer 40k fan to have.

Exceptional storytelling
The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Malleus follows Inquisitor Eisenhorn as he tries to clear his name in the wake of terrible events. As well written a story as can be expected from Dan Abnett, though it does feel like a bit of a slump from the first in the series.

Solid
Characters are great (most returning from book 1), plot is solid, my only issue is pacing is a little off at times, which surprised me as that's not something you usually see Abnett struggle with. At any rate, it's still a great book, read it.

Wow
There’s a fair bit of talent in the collective group of 40k authors, but this is the best novel of the 40k universe I’ve read yet. Bravo sir!Eisenhorn’s adventures continue with incredible depth and brutal, calculating execution.

A fun sequel
It was difficult to get into initially, you're thrust into a world so much later in the characters life than expected for a sequel. However, with some initial perseverance the world of the empire and more interesting diverse locations and characters are revealed, leading to a great plot and story! Would recommend!

Good colourful writing
Abnett is a great writer. When he has a good story plot then it's like the reader is there. When he doesn't, he glides seamlessly over plot holes so you don't even notice it. Seriously good writing. I have dreams about inquisitors and Astra militarum. Would recommend

Outstanding
From start to finish a story and plot line that compels you to finish. Preceding novels all add to the crescendo that is the ultimate battle for Eisenhorn and his cohorts against the backdrop of The Eye of Terror. A good book!

Slow burn but upped the heat
Was a real burner to start with but the end was on fire. Some bits towards the end felt a little rushed but overall another good read from Mr Abnett
